MENS SINGLES : KEVIN TUNSTALL (NEW SUSSEX HOTEL) v CHRIS TUPPER (WEST HILL) 10pm, Table 1

Kevin Tunstall won his 4th Brighton Singles title in 5 attempts with a win over the West Hill player Chris Tupper. Kevin made no mistake after an early miss by Chris let Kevin in to take the first leg. A solid 10k opener proved enough in leg 2 to take the title. Kevin's win puts him just one behind Nigel Senior's 5 singles titles and two behind Colin Smith's record of 6 Brighton singles titles.

LADIES SINGLES : BELLA STONER (ALBION) V SHEENA WOOD (ATLAS) 10pm, Table 2

Bella went into the final favourite to win her first singles title since 2002. she ran out a comfortable winner in both games for a 2-0 win. This is Bella's 3rd win in this competition, for Sheena another near miss to try and win her first but she will be back to give it another go for sure.

MENS PLATE : STEVE HURLEY (ATLAS) V GARY MECHAN (MONTREAL) 8pm, Table 2

Steve took this title for the 2nd time (previously won in 2001) and won more comfortably than expected against the Montreal's Gary Mechan. Gary never got going in the final and Steve hit good scores in both legs to take a 2-0 win.

LOWER DIVISION SINGLES : BRIAN BARTRUM (GARDENERS) V CHRIS PEMBERTON (BIB & TUCKER) 8pm, Table 1

Brian Bartrum had surprisingly never captured this title in all his years in playing in the lower divisions but took his chance this time beating first time finalist Chris Pemberton. Brian's experience was probably the telling factor in the 2-0 win.

OPEN DOUBLES : KEVIN TUNSTALL & IAN LELLIOTT (NEW SUSSEX/ROMANS) v NIGEL SENIOR & MARC CHIPMAN (ROMANS) 9pm, Table 2

A close final saw Kevin Tunstall & Ian Lelliott retain the doubles title they won last year. The first two legs were shared leaving Ian and Marc to take the breaks in the decider. Ian went off with 5k, and Marc broke down early which effectively ended the match.

Kevin Hall & Sandra Race took this title for the first time in the closest final of the night. They were up against 5 times champions Alan & Jean Brackenridge and it went to a decider. It was close but Kevin and Sandra edged it by just 620 points.
