Well done to Spencer Noble who took his first individual trophy by winning the Lower Division Masters. John Perrin was the unlucky runner up for the second time. The top seeded players from the Montreal struggled, number 2 seed Mick Barsby lost to eventual champ Spencer in the quarter finals, and top seed Gary Mechan lost out to John Perrin in the semi finals. Lower Division Singles champ Roy Chuter would have been one of the favourites but forfeited his semi finals due to work commitments allowing Brian Bartrum (the 2001 winner) to be a lucky loser and take his place. His luck, however, ran out against the inspired Spencer Noble.
