Terry Stapleton from the Romans won his 2nd Lower Division Masters title adding to his 2005 success. Terry, the 3rd seed, beat team-mate Dave Roberts in Round 1, and followed that with a hard fought win over Brian Bartrum (seeded 2). Terry met the Montreal's Bob Mechan in the final. Bob was impressive in reaching the final with wins over Paul Pitfield and Dave Richings. Surprisingly the top seed, Dave Nicholls was beaten by Richings by only 240 points in Round 1. in the final Terry extra experience seemed to be the factor as Bob found the table very tough going. A 6k lead from the first leg was never threatened.

Now Terry becomes only the second multiple winner of this event, the other being an ex team-mate of his, Simon Christian who won 3 lower division masters titles in 1994, 1995 and 2000.
