This was the ranking system used from 1993 to the end of 2005/06 season - You can gain ranking points in three different ways
In all Brighton Premier and Division 1 matches, Brighton Team KO matches and Sussex Inter-League Division 1 matches you will be awarded 2 RP's for a win , plus any score bonus to which you are entitled. In all Brighton Divisions below Division 1 , Brighton Team KO Plate matches and Sussex Inter-League Divisions below Division 1 matches you will be awarded 1 RP for a win , plus any score bonus to which you are entitled. In the Open 1 Day Inter League cup competition the Brighton registered player with the highest average will be awarded 7 RP's, the next six players will receive in descending order 6 RP's down to 1 RP. In addition the winner of each game will receive 1 RP, each game lost will see a reduction of 1 RP. In the Ladies 1 Day Inter League cup competition, if two or more teams enter the rankings will be the same as above. If just one team enters the RP's will start at 5 RP's descending to 1 RP (as it is 5-a-side rather than 7-a-side for the open). If a lady should play in both competitions RP's gained in the Open 1 day takes precedence.
In all with the break & even break games in team matches, plus any high breaks or scores. Players will receive 0.1 RP for the first 5,000 and a further 0.1 RP for each additional 3,000 thereafter. ie 0.2 RPs for 8,000, 0.3 RPs for 11,000 etc. In all against the break games in team matches. Players will receive 0.1 RP for the first 4,500 and a further 0.1 RP for each additional 2,500 thereafter. ie 0.2 RPs for 7,000, 0.3 RPs for 9,500 etc.
Any player receiving a bye, claiming a game or being given a game, in any singles or doubles competition for which RP's are awarded, then he or she will be given the full points should they win the round and half the points should they lose it, so long as they do not earn fewer points than could be won in the previous round should they lose it. Otherwise RP's will be awarded as follows:
