At the AGM it was agreed that a new ranking system would be set up by a ranking sub committee to take effect from the start of the 2006/07 season. There will still be two lists, one for the Open Masters and one for the Lower Division Masters. As before Lower Division players can still qualify for the Open Masters. The top 16 from the Open Masters and the top 8 from the Lower Division Masters will be invited to take part in those competitions in October 2007.

There will be 2 main elements to now count - Brighton League and Brighton Competitions. Inter League and Sussex Comps have been removed along with the Masters and Off the Spot which was agreed at the 2006 AGM.

Brighton League

Premier/Div 1 - 2 points for a win with the break, 2.5 points for a win against the break.
Div 2 - 1 point for a win with the break, 1.25 points for a win against the break.
Score bonuses will still apply - with the break start at 0.1 for 5,000 and 0.1 for every 3,000 thereafter, against the break 0.1 for 4.500 and 0.1 for every 2,500 thereafter.
Team Knockout games will be 2 points a win
